The Eisele Vineyard near Calistoga is one of Napa Valley's most historic Cabernet Sauvignon sites, made famous by Bart and Daphne Araujo, who farmed it biodynamically before selling to the Pinault family's Artémis group in 2013. The 2010 earned 98 points from Wine Advocate, which called it "a picture perfect example of the year" and praised its vibrant, chiseled precision, with dark blue and black fruit, mocha, espresso and grilled herbs. The cool 2010 season produced Napa wines with freshness and structure. Stephen Tanzer noted blueberry, brown spice, menthol, bay laurel and cedar on a silky palate with outstanding grip. It is drinking beautifully now and will continue to evolve for another decade or more.
