About Maison Champy
Champy has traded from the same address in Beaune since 1720, which makes it the oldest surviving wine house in Burgundy. Its cellars run under the ramparts of the town and part of the building was designed by Gustave Eiffel. The house buys fruit across the Côte d'Or and also farms its own vineyards, concentrated in Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-lès-Beaune and the Corton hill, with premier and grand cru bottlings alongside village and regional wines. The Meurgey family rebuilt its reputation from the 1990s, and the house changed hands again in 2020.
