Arnaud Ente is one of Meursault's most sought-after small growers, prized for precise, mineral white Burgundy that routinely outperforms its appellation. His 2015 village Meursault draws on the lieux-dits En l'Ormeau and Les Casse-Têtes. John Gilman described pear, apple, hazelnut and apple-blossom aromas, a crisp, refined, full-bodied palate with a juicy core, and a long, zesty mineral finish. Jancis Robinson found it racy, lightly smoky and full of tension, writing that it "deserves much more than a village score." The warm 2015 vintage gave generous, succulent Chardonnay fruit, balanced here by real freshness and drive. Delicious now, it has the balance to keep nicely for several more years.
