Russell Bevan built Bevan Cellars into one of Napa's most sought-after small producers, crafting opulent, vineyard-designated Cabernets in tiny quantities. The Harbison Vineyard lies in Oakville, the appellation home to many of California's most famous Cabernet Sauvignon sites, and Bevan's bottling pairs lush fruit with serious structure. 2018 was a long, mild, even growing season with a generous crop, widely regarded as a classic Napa vintage that combines ripeness with freshness. Expect layers of cassis, black cherry, mocha and graphite on a full-bodied, plush palate with fine tannins. Drinking well now with a decant, it should age gracefully for another 15 years or more.
