Boars' View Pinot Noir The Coast Sonoma Coast 2018 750ml

Boars' View is the Sonoma Coast project of Fred Schrader, best known for Schrader Cellars' cult Napa Cabernets, with Thomas Rivers Brown making the wines. The estate vineyard sits high above the Pacific on the far Sonoma Coast, where fog, wind and marine influence create a long, cool growing season. The Coast is its Pinot Noir. The long, mild 2018 season delivered sweet black raspberry fruit with baking spice, forest floor, licorice and darker, earthy notes, plus full-bodied richness, well-integrated acidity and a lingering finish, a step up from the two prior vintages. It should drink well through about 2030.
