Charles Lachaux is one of Burgundy's most talked-about young vignerons, having taken the reins at the family's Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux in Vosne-Romanée and launched a small négociant range under his own name. His approach emphasizes vineyard health, generous use of whole clusters and a light touch in the cellar, yielding wines of transparency and energy. Les Valozières is an Aloxe-Corton premier cru on the lower slopes beneath the hill of Corton. 2022 was a warm, generous yet balanced vintage, and this Pinot Noir should offer red cherry, raspberry and spice with silky tannins and a fresh, mineral finish.
