Charles Lachaux La Croix Blanche 2021 750ml

Charles Lachaux is the talented young vigneron behind Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux in Vosne-Romanée, and his small négociant label lets him work with fruit from growers whose farming he helps improve. La Croix Blanche is a Bourgogne Rouge made from Pinot Noir, and it shows the perfumed, transparent style that has made his wines so sought after. Expect wild berries, red cherry, rose petal, sweet spice and a hint of orange peel on a fresh, finely textured palate with powdery tannins. The 2021 vintage was a cool, frost-reduced year in Burgundy, yielding lighter, energetic and aromatic reds. Enjoy it now with a short decant, or over the next six to eight years.
