Cirq Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2017 750ml

Michael Browne, co-founder of Kosta Browne, created Cirq to focus on small-lot Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. The 2017 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir draws on several vineyards across the appellation, blending their fruit into a deeply colored, generous wine. Jeb Dunnuck was especially taken with it, praising its "plush, sexy style" and remarkably seamless texture. Expect black raspberry, kirsch and violet aromas layered with Asian spice, underbrush and black tea, carried by silky tannins with no hard edges. Wine Advocate also noted its youthful depth on release. Now several years past bottling, it is drinking beautifully and should hold through about 2030.
