Cirq is a small Russian River Valley Pinot Noir project, and its 2021 marks a triumphant return after the team made the difficult choice to skip the fire-affected 2020 vintage entirely. Jeb Dunnuck rated it 99 points (99+), saying it "takes things to another level." Deep ruby-magenta in the glass, it opens with black raspberry, violets, dark mineral earth and sweet cardamom spice, while Decanter highlighted its fragrant brambly red fruit and intense spice notes. The texture is luxurious, silky and seamless, building to a long, refined finish. This is cool-climate California Pinot Noir at its most polished; delicious now, it should drink beautifully over the next decade.
