Cirq Treehouse Vineyard Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2015 750ml

Cirq is the personal label of Michael Browne, co-founder of Kosta Browne, devoted to small-lot Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. The Treehouse Vineyard's iron-rich soils give a more structured wine, with more acidity and tannin than his Bootlegger's Hill bottling. From the drought-reduced 2015 vintage, it shows a deep purple color and vibrant black cherry, blueberry, violet and underbrush aromas. Jeb Dunnuck described it as "medium-bodied, powerful, and focused on the palate," and its chiseled frame gives it real backbone for aging. Now about ten years on, it should be drinking beautifully, with savory complexity emerging; enjoy it over the next several years.
