Domaine Albert Grivault is a Meursault estate best known for its monopole Clos des Perrières, and this premier cru Les Perrières comes from about 1.55 hectares in two parcels right beside it. Perrières is widely considered Meursault's finest premier cru, prized for stony, mineral intensity. The domaine works traditionally, with whole-cluster pressing, fermentation mostly in used casks and no sulfur added until after malolactic. 2024 was a difficult, cool and wet year in Burgundy with sharply reduced yields, and its whites are generally described as fresh and precise. Expect a taut, mineral Meursault that will benefit from three to five years in bottle and age for well over a decade.
