Cécile Tremblay revived her family's Vosne-Romanée holdings in the early 2000s, and her small domaine has quickly become one of the most sought-after names in the Côte de Nuits. Her village Vosne-Romanée Vieilles Vignes comes from old vines and delivers much of the perfume and silkiness found in her premier crus. The 2022 vintage was warm and generous yet surprisingly balanced, giving Pinot Noir with ripe fruit and fine freshness. Expect red and dark cherry, rose petal and the exotic spice typical of Vosne over supple, fine-grained tannins. Lovely with some air in its youth, it should be at its best from 2027 and drink well into the late 2030s.
