Domaine Jean Grivot, a family estate in Vosne-Romanée, owns a small parcel of Richebourg, one of the most celebrated grand crus of the Côte de Nuits. The frost-hit 2021 vintage slashed yields across Burgundy, and Grivot made just two barrels of Richebourg this year. Critics describe a beautifully defined, intense bouquet of baked cherries, bergamot and bay leaf, the most concentrated of the domaine's wines, with alpine strawberry, sweet red cherry and fine raspberry unfolding on a sappy, medium-bodied palate with fine acidity. Jasper Morris called it "all you could want and still really light on its feet." Patience is required: drink from 2030 through 2040 and beyond.
