Domaine Leflaive Puligny Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru 2023 750ml

Domaine Leflaive is Puligny-Montrachet's most famous estate and a pioneer of biodynamic farming in Burgundy, and Les Pucelles, which borders the grand cru Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, is its signature premier cru. Burghound notes the domaine farms more than three hectares here across two large parcels. The 2023 shows real density, with butterscotch, lemon oil, citronella and peach over an underlying spiciness, according to Wine Spectator, which found it powerful now and expects it to gain finesse with time. Burghound highlighted honeysuckle, orange peel, acacia blossom and a wealth of spice in a generous, delicious frame. This Chardonnay should be at its best from 2027 through about 2035.
