Domaine Philippe Colin, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, is part of the celebrated Colin winemaking family and is known for precise, mineral-driven white Burgundy. Les Combes is a premier cru in Saint-Aubin, the hillside village tucked behind Puligny and Chassagne, where cooler slopes give Chardonnay notable tension. The 2023, from a generous vintage, draws on vines of roughly 10 and 60 years of age. It shows tangy, ripe fruit and concentrated apple, with Granny Smith, white flowers and a flinty, mineral edge, deftly handled oak and a fine-textured, mineral-driven palate with good tension. Jasper Morris called it "typical of the appellation and with good length." Drink from 2027 through 2031.
