Domaine Ramonet is one of Chassagne-Montrachet's legendary white Burgundy producers, and Les Ruchottes is among its most prized premier crus. The vineyard sits high on the slope close to the grand crus, on thin, stony limestone soils that give wines of real tension and mineral drive. 2022 was a warm, generous Burgundy vintage that still kept good freshness, and the Ruchottes combines ripe orchard and citrus fruit with the flinty, reductive edge Ramonet is famous for. Expect a long, saline finish. Give it a few years in the cellar; it should be at its best from about 2027 to 2037.
