Domaine Robert Arnoux, now known as Arnoux-Lachaux, is one of Vosne-Romanée's top family estates, and Les Suchots is among the village's finest premier crus, neighboring several grand crus. The domaine's parcel lies high on the slope between Échezeaux and Beaux Monts. 2002 is a celebrated Burgundy vintage, prized for ripe fruit balanced by bright acidity, and this wine shows it well. Stephen Tanzer noted raspberry, Asian spice, iron, cocoa and floral perfume over silky, vibrant dark fruit. Now more than two decades old and offered in magnum, it is in its prime and should hold for several more years.
