d'Yquem 2005 15000ml

Château d'Yquem, the sole Premier Cru Supérieur of the 1855 Sauternes classification, produced a rich yet racy wine in 2005, a celebrated Bordeaux vintage. Offered here in a monumental 15-liter Nebuchadnezzar, it is a true showpiece for collectors and grand occasions. The Sémillon-led blend, with a touch of Sauvignon Blanc, earned high praise across the board from Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. It shows apricot, green mango, honeyed toast, ginger, pink grapefruit and saffron, with chalky mineral notes, a creamy texture and a long, perfumed finish. Wine Enthusiast found it "wonderfully rich." Like all great Yquem it will age for many decades, and this enormous format will evolve especially slowly.
