Château de Chamirey is one of the leading estates of Mercurey in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise, run by the Devillard family. En Pierrelet is its Mercurey Blanc, a Chardonnay drawn from two parcels of that name planted in 1990. The 2015 vintage was warm and sunny across Burgundy, yielding ripe, generous whites, and after a decade in bottle this wine has moved into a mature, savory phase. Expect baked apple, pear and citrus with honeyed, nutty and lightly toasty notes, balanced by the fresh, mineral edge typical of Mercurey. Drink now and over the next couple of years, ideally with roast poultry or creamy dishes.
