OV/SL is Futo's blend of estate fruit from Oakville and the Stags Leap District, co-fermented to marry the power of one site with the perfume of the other. In the challenging 2017 vintage it stands out: Jeb Dunnuck called it "a slam dunk of a 2017," citing cassis, white flowers, graphite and minerality with silky tannins, and James Suckling gave it 97 for its solid structure, spice, tobacco, berries and dark chocolate. Medium- to full-bodied with a creamy texture, it's entering its window now and should keep for 20 years.
