Harlan Estate Napa Valley 2007 1500ml

Offered here in magnum, the 2007 Harlan Estate comes from a vintage long celebrated in Napa Valley for its opulence and ripe, generous fruit. Bill Harlan's Oakville hillside estate, planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon, made one of its great wines that year: Wine Advocate awarded a perfect 100 points and Vinous 98. Wine Advocate described sweet aromas of "barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis," while James Suckling noted sweet tobacco, coffee, violets and dried flowers on a muscular yet agile frame. Vinous praised its explosive density and tremendous persistence. Now nearly two decades old, it is entering a beautiful drinking window, and the large format will keep it evolving slowly for many more years.
