Jayson Woodbridge's Hundred Acre is one of Napa Valley's cult Cabernet Sauvignon estates, and Few and Far Between is among its prized single-vineyard bottlings. The 2017 vintage was a challenging one in Napa, with a Labor Day heat spike and October wildfires, yet Jeb Dunnuck rated this 99 points and called it "the wine of the vintage." He described aromatics of spiced currants, leafy tobacco, crushed stone, flowers and lead pencil shavings, with rare purity and seamlessness for the year. Wine Advocate also praised its earthy, cassis-driven core. Full-bodied and deeply layered with polished tannins, it is drinking well now and should keep evolving gracefully over the next 15 years.
