Kistler Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard Carneros 2013 750ml

Kistler Vineyards built its reputation on single-vineyard Chardonnay, and Hyde Vineyard in Carneros is one of the classic California sites in its lineup. The 2013, from a warm, even and early California vintage, combines fabulous fruit concentration with lively acidity and discreet oak. White peach, honeysuckle, ripe pear and quince lead the way, joined by orange blossom, fig, smoke and savory notes typical of the Wente clone. Wine Spectator noted a "compelling and exotic Puligny-Montrachet aroma." Rich, complex and long, it is drinking at a lovely mature stage now and is best enjoyed over the next few years.
