Kistler Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard Sonoma Valley 2012 750ml

The Kistler Vineyard is the winery's original estate site, set in the hills above Sonoma Valley, and its Chardonnay remains one of the purest expressions of the Kistler style. The 2012 combines the Mount Eden and Old Wente clones. Wine Advocate called it "a stunner," with white flowers, quince, mango, honeyed peach, caramelized citrus and restrained spicy oak on a broad, multidimensional palate. Vinous highlighted a very different side of petrol, graphite, smoke, slate and white flowers, built on precision and tension. From a generous California vintage, it is now in its mature window; enjoy over the next few years.
