Stone Flat Vineyard, a block near the renowned Durell Vineyard in the Sonoma Coast appellation, is one of Kistler's single-vineyard Chardonnay sources, and the 2015 was a standout. Wine Enthusiast gave it 98 points, highlighting its heady floral and mineral intrigue. The small-crop 2015 vintage delivered concentration with freshness, and here that means pineapple, guava, passion fruit and green apple lifted by lemon zest, wet stone, baking bread and toasted cashew. Medium- to full-bodied, it is exotic yet buoyant, with a lively, textured finish. Kistler's single-vineyard Chardonnays age gracefully, and this one is drinking beautifully now with several good years ahead.
