Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2015 750ml

Kosta Browne was founded in 1997 by Dan Kosta and Michael Browne and quickly became one of California's most sought-after Pinot Noir producers. The 2015 Russian River Valley appellation bottling comes from a small, drought-affected vintage that yielded concentrated, deeply colored wines. Jeb Dunnuck called it "a deeply colored, ripe, sexy, beast of an appellation wine" and rated it as good as several of the single-vineyard cuvées. Black raspberry, cassis, violets, roasted herbs and toasted spice lead to a full-bodied, beautifully textured palate with sweet tannins, while James Suckling noted a fresh, citrusy backbone of acidity.
