Built largely around Kosta Browne's own estate vineyards, Gap's Crown, Treehouse and Bootlegger's Hill, with additional fruit from Keefer Ranch and Zio Tony, the 2020 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir reflects the winery's shift toward estate farming in the region's cool, windy sites. The 2020 harvest was small and challenging, yet this bottling earned strong reviews. James Suckling found dried strawberry, wet earth, cloves and spice with a flavorful finish, while Jeb Dunnuck described it as "lifted with cedar, red cherry, and pine," adding grenadine, orange peel and a silky texture. Lush and ripe, it is drinking well now and through about 2030.
