Domaine Laleure-Piot has been rooted in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, tucked behind the hill of Corton in the Côte de Beaune, for some three centuries, and today Frédéric Laleure represents the family's fifth generation. Clos de Bully is a walled village-level vineyard that the domaine bottles separately as a red Pinot Noir. The 2014 Burgundy vintage produced charming, fresh reds with ripe fruit and bright acidity. This wine shows red cherry, raspberry and redcurrant with earthy, savory notes and fine, lightly grippy tannins typical of Pernand's cooler slopes. A great value introduction to the Corton hillside, it is drinking well now and should hold through about 2028.
