Les Forts de Latour 2002 375ml

Les Forts de Latour is the second wine of Château Latour, the Pauillac first growth, made largely from estate parcels outside the historic Enclos vineyard along with younger vines. This 2002 comes in a half bottle, a format that matures a little faster, making it ideal for drinking now. The 2002 Médoc vintage was rescued by a sunny September, producing classic, Cabernet-driven wines. Deep red-ruby in color, it shows raspberry, currant, blackberry, black olive and spicy oak, followed by sweet redcurrant, tobacco, nut and dried herb flavors. Suave tannins and good grip carry the finish. At more than 20 years old, it is fully mature and offers a fine taste of the Latour style.
