Lynch Bages 2022 1500ml

The 2022 Lynch-Bages is among the first vintages made in the Cazes family's striking new Pauillac cellar, and it ranks with the estate's greatest modern efforts. A hot, dry growing season yielded small, concentrated berries, and Jeb Dunnuck awarded 99 points while James Suckling gave 98. The blend is 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 3% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Dunnuck described a blockbuster, classic Lynch style with dark currants, smoky tobacco, lead pencil and crushed stone, a dense, layered mid-palate and velvety tannins. This 1.5L magnum will need a decade or more to approach its prime and should age for decades beyond.
