Morlet Cabernet Sauvignon Passionement Oakville 2013 1500ml

Luc Morlet, a Champagne-born winemaker who made his name at Peter Michael, founded Morlet Family Vineyards in Napa, and Passionnément is his Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013, from a celebrated Napa vintage, earned 98 points from Wine Advocate, which called it "opulent, majestic in the mouth, and very pure and rich." Only about 280 cases of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon were made. Expect fruitcake, crème de cassis, blackberry, cedar, cigar tobacco, dark chocolate and licorice, with acidity, oak and tannin seamlessly knit. Vinous found it the most concentrated and powerful of Morlet's 2013s. In 1500ml magnum it will age slowly; drink now through 2045.
