The 2016 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a vintage widely seen as one of Napa's finest, with ripeness balanced by freshness. Deep purple-black, it offers exotic spice, incense and dried rose over crème de cassis and mulberry, with hints of cigar box and dusty soil. Full-bodied and deeply fruited, it has a firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness lifting a very long finish. Drink now through about 2040.
