Peju Province Winery is a family-owned Rutherford estate founded by Tony and Herta Peju, and its Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is the winery's flagship red. The low-yielding 2021 vintage gave this wine real concentration; it includes 5% Petit Verdot and spent 18 months in French and American oak. Decanter called it "wonderfully vibrant, compact, and energetic," with taut, fine-grained tannins and plenty of black fruit and huckleberry. James Suckling noted ripe black and blue fruit, blue flowers and cocoa on a creamy, layered palate with silky tannins. This 1.5-liter magnum will age more slowly than a standard bottle; enjoy it now or hold it through the mid-2030s.
