Peju Province Winery is a family-run estate in Rutherford, founded by Tony and Herta Peju in the early 1980s and known for its landmark tower and gardens along Highway 29. Its Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon draws on the family's Rutherford holdings, an appellation prized for ripe, structured Cabernet with a characteristic dusty, earthy edge. The 2018 vintage was one of Napa's most celebrated, as a long, mild growing season without major heat spikes allowed slow, even ripening and a generous crop. Expect dark cherry, blackcurrant and mocha with cedar, sweet spice and polished tannins. Enjoy now with decanting, or cellar through the early 2030s.
