Peju Province Winery Fifty Fifty Red Napa Valley 2019 750ml

Peju is a family-owned winery on the St. Helena Highway in Rutherford, founded by Tony and Herta Peju and still run by the family today. Fifty/Fifty takes its name from its blend: equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Napa Valley, a staple of the Peju lineup for well over a decade. The 2019 comes from a highly regarded Napa vintage with an even, moderate growing season that produced balanced, polished reds. Expect aromas of black fruit, cedar and baking spice, followed by rich boysenberry flavors, a touch of white pepper and a toffee-tinged finish. The Merlot brings a supple, rounded texture while the Cabernet adds structure. Enjoy now through the early 2030s.
