Growing Up in the Vineyard is a Bordeaux-style red blend from Peju, the family-run winery in Rutherford, the stretch of Napa Valley most famous for Cabernet Sauvignon and its dusty, savory tannins. Tony and Herta Peju established the estate in 1983, and over four decades the family has grown it into a collection of estate vineyards across the valley, all devoted to the classic Bordeaux grapes. This red comes from the excellent 2018 vintage, when a long, temperate season with no major heat spikes allowed the fruit to ripen slowly, producing balanced wines with fine tannins and fresh acidity.
