Au Paradis is Peter Michael Winery's Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on red-soiled hillsides overlooking the Oakville crossroads at the site formerly known as the Showket Vineyard. The 2013 earned 99 points from James Suckling and 98 from Wine Advocate. Suckling described hot stones, blackcurrants, iron and porcini on a full-bodied, velvety, savory palate, adding that it "will age beautifully for decades to come." The superb 2013 Napa vintage delivered ripe, beautifully structured fruit. This magnum (1.5L) format ages more slowly than a standard bottle, so expect it to develop gracefully and drink well over the next 20 years or more.
