Peter Michael Cabernet Sauvignon Au Paradis Oakville 2020 750ml

Sir Peter Michael's family winery built its reputation in the volcanic hills of Knights Valley, and Au Paradis is its Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on a hillside site near Dalla Valle at roughly 500 to 600 feet. The 2020 includes small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc and shows the lush, refined side of the vintage. Expect cassis, black plum, espresso, violets and sweet tobacco, with hints of graphite, cedar and mocha on a full-bodied, velvety palate. Jeb Dunnuck praised its ripe texture and fine tannins, while James Suckling called it "all about finesse and polish." Approachable now, it should drink well for 15 years or more.
