Peter Michael Chardonnay Belle Cote Knights Valley 2014 750ml

Peter Michael Winery, founded by British entrepreneur Sir Peter Michael on the volcanic slopes of Knights Valley, is one of California's elite Chardonnay producers, and Belle Côte is among its most celebrated cuvées. The 2014 received 98 points from Wine Advocate, which said it is "about as close to perfection as a Chardonnay can achieve." Expect white peach, crushed rock, crème brûlée, tangerine oil and orange marmalade, all carried by bright, mountain-grown acidity. Belle Côte is also the main source of barrels for the estate's rare Point Rouge. Drinking gorgeously now, it should hold well for several more years.
