Peter Michael Pinot Noir Ma Danseuse Sonoma Coast 2016 750ml

Ma Danseuse, French for my dancer, is one of the Pinot Noirs Peter Michael grows on its estate in the Fort Ross-Seaview appellation, a ridgetop site on the far western edge of the Sonoma Coast. The 2016 is a standout, earning 99 points from Jeb Dunnuck and 98 from James Suckling. Dunnuck described a "true wow, blockbuster styled wine," with black raspberry, red currant, scorched earth and spice that is seamless yet concentrated and multi-dimensional. A balanced, even growing season gave the fruit both ripeness and freshness. Approaching its peak now, it should continue to drink beautifully through 2030.
