Reynvaan Family Vineyards is a small, family-run Walla Walla Valley estate whose Syrahs have earned cult status, and Stonessence is one of its most sought-after bottlings. It comes from the In the Rocks Vineyard in the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, where a carpet of cobblestones gives Syrah a distinctive savory, mineral character often compared with the northern Rhône. Stonessence typically pairs bright raspberry and blackberry fruit with violets, cracked pepper, smoked meat, olive and a signature stony, umami edge.
