Olivet Lane Vineyard, in the heart of the Russian River Valley, is planted with Pinot Noir vines dating to the mid-1970s, and Williams Selyem bottles it as one of its celebrated single-vineyard wines. The 2021 earned 98 points from both Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck, with Wine Advocate calling it powerful and expressive with notable complexity. Matured 15 months in 61% new oak, it offers floral aromas, crushed rock, pure black cherry and wild herbs, with sweet tea leaf, wild berries and incense on a full-bodied, fresh palate. Dunnuck noted "immediate appeal" yet a future of 15 to 20 years in the cellar, a span this magnum format is well suited to deliver.
